About Immunet

High quality research necessitates global collaboration. In recognition of this and the increasing importance of the study of Immunology, the University of Otago formed Immunet with the dual purpose of fostering the collaboration and collective identity of immunologists world-wide.

Initially consisting of researchers from the Otago School of Medical Sciences and the Dunedin School of Medicine and their colleagues in the Christchurch and Wellington Clinical Schools, Immunet has since grown to include fellow immunologists from the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, the Crown Research Institutes (AgResearch, Landcare, HortResearch, Crop and Food) Genesis Research and Development and the Universities of Auckland and Victoria. Having now established a reputation for excellence, Immunet continues to attract increasing amounts of research funding both nationally and internationally.
